WELLNESS CHECK
Show of hands: anyone having trouble concentrating this week?Ā šš»āāļø Admittedly, putting together some bits and bites for you to digest has been a Herculean task for me, but here we are.Ā And you probably give zero f*#ks about health and wellness at the moment, but now is when itās most crucial to try to keep balanced. If weāve learned anything in the pursuit of well-being, itās the importance of perspective.Ā So Iām turning some inspiration thatās helping me into a few nuggets for you š«¶š»:

SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK
I had the privilege of spending the weekend at the inaugural Eudemonia Summit, where folks from all corners of the wellness industry came together to share ideas, introduce new brands, and experience "life well livedā (the literal translation of that cool Greek word) together. The keynote speaker was none other than Dr. Andrew Huberman- if you follow pop culture you know he is undoubtedly a polarizing figure in the industry (I believe Teflon is the word, and appropriately so- more on the dangers of nonstick cookware to come š!) but IMHO, while a flawed human in his personal life, not worthy of full cancellation, as he still does far more good than harm. Feel free to disagree, of course, and skip to the next section if youāre not interested in my takeaways. If you are, it was an incredibly prescient talk on the relationship between motivation and dopamine. The key concept:
EMBRACE THE SUCK. People who successfully do this increase their anterior mid-singular cortex, improve cognitive function, and live longer lives. š¦¾
The more you lean into something you find unpleasurable, whether physical or emotional, the more it builds the resilience necessary for longevity.
Movement generates energy, NOT the other way aroundāstart moving in order to create the energy you need, donāt wait for the energy to start moving. šš»āāļø
HEREāS A TIP, MAKE THE CHANGE
